Pathways is a programme for youth workers and junior leaders which Breakthrough and Think Forward delivered in 2015/16/17 with participants from The Netherlands and the UK. The programme ran over three weeks and was based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
During the programme youth workers and junior leaders developed their skills and competences in youth leadership, identified areas for self development, set personal goals and received recognition of their learning through the process. The participants on the programme were also coached in how to pass on the leadership skills they have developed to the young people who they work with.
The programme used non-formal learning methodologies in order to engage youth workers and junior leaders in the programme and made use of Open Badges, Youth Achievement Awards and the Council of Europe Youth Work Portfolio for accreditation purposes.
Breakthrough is currently exploring opportunities for new programmes to be delivered with other international partners. You can read about the first programme on the blog and if you’re interested in becoming a partner or a participant get in touch.
